Adventurers Wanted 1&2

Sadly, I have only been able to read the first and second books of this series of four. But the two that I have read are great books! They are about a boy Alex who discovers a mysterious and magical land by following the advice of a sign that tells him to enter the bookstore the sign is in front of. The owner of the bookstore signs Alex up for an adventure that is about to start and, before Alex knows it, he is in  a strange land where time works differently than in his world. It is so different in fact, that even though the adventure he is about to go on will take months, maybe even years, Alex will be the same shape and size he was when he entered the bookstore when he goes home. All I will still give away is that Alex discovers something about himself that he never would have thought possible.

The Clearwater Union War

The Clearwater Union War is a hilarious book that is set in Clearwater Idaho. Although it is fiction, it is a great way of comparing city folk and rednecks who are happy to mind their own business and let everyone else mind theirs. The "villain" of this book sends some of his cronies to get the Clearwater Meat-packing company to join the Union. One of the workers that they explain all the benefits to learns that the owners of the company would be paying for everything. Long story short, he gets mad and chases them off in the funniest, lung busting way.

To Kill a Mockingbird

I had to read this one for school and let me tell you, To Kill a Mockingbird is not a book you want to have to read, it's more of the kind of book one would want to read just because. This book is set in Southern north America  before the civil war. It is about a girl who learns valuable lessons during a trial of an innocent black, and a mysterious man who lives next door and is almost never seen.
I would like to spoil the book for you, but I don't think that you would like that.

The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games These three books are about a future America that has been "trashed" and has a government in the Rockies with thirteen districts around it. After the districts rebellion had been quelled there were only twelve, and to make sure that the districts always remembered who's in charge, each year every district has to send one girl and one boy to the arena to fight to the death. That's 23 dead and one victor (and it's just plain cruel).

The Inheritance

The Inheritance

This is the last book in the "Eragon" series. Christopher really had a lot of great ideas and he probably also has ideas of how he could continue the series but he just doesn't want to. The ending is a little bit wanting though because it is a bit of a cliffhanger. I loved this book though and, to be honest, I want Christopher to continue the series.
